In the Store and Behind the Scenes

Confetti, one of our Hugs & Snuggles hand-painted sweethearts, watches as we paint new Confetti plush. The colors become more subdued once we heat-set and do the brush-out. Acrylic plush doesn't take the paint as vividly as mohair would (but we like it that way).

Shenanigans at the Studio. We've had a lot of fun playing with hand-painting our plush for these teddies.

Introducing our hand-painted Valentine's Day lineup: our rainbow hued Iris, and red/purple hued Confetti. The perfect teddies to send your loved one a great big bear hug!

This is Harvest - the newest member of our Woodland and Wines group! He is hand-painted with lovely fall colors.

New original design for 2021: Woodland & Wines: 7 inch OOAK fully jointed teddies. Meet Bramble, Burl, Truffle and Pinot!

Everly: our teddy-style elephant. Sweet little dude with Buffalo Plaid ear linings.

Tommy Star, 6 inch, in luscious copper. He nearly didn't get made, but is now my darling girl's favorite teddy.

Sugar Plum Bear (and bun-bun) pile, circa 1983. Some of our favorite originals.

The first official teddy to re-launch the Studio. We decided to make him our official Studio mascot as we can't BEAR to part with him.

Sugar Plum Bears Studio was in hibernation for a good long time, until our son requested one of our teddies. These two Tommy Star 6 inch jointed bears were the first to emerge. Little did we know that they would re-launch the Studio.

Entries to the American Teddy Bear Artist Guild contest (1980s). Tommy Star 6 inch, fully jointed. The little teddies that started the Sugar Plum Bears Studio back in the day.
